Hammer finish is based on fast drying modified alkyd resin. An interesting variant in surface decoration is the hammer-finish effect. This produces a surface which looks as though it has been worked with a hammer. Special hammer effect coatings provide an effective, mechanically-resistant finish.

Usage:
Hammer finish coatings are particularly popular for painting equipment for example metal fittings, scientific equipment and machines which can be turned out in an effective and visually manner with this special type of coating. Effect depends on spraying viscosity and film thickness.

Apply two coats by roller or brush. Low pressure or airless spray equipment can also be used.

For metallic surfaces, apply one coat of suitable primer on non-rusted and dry surface. In case of rust presence, use appropriate RUST REMOVER.
In case of old coating and/or loose paints on surface, total removal must be done by mechanical means or by stripping with paint remover.
For substrates that are affected by fungi and algae attack, FUNGICIDAL WASH by roller should be applied and left to react for 12 h minimum.
Rinse with high pressure water and brush if necessary to ensure complete elimination of algae & fungus.
